Grace Gospel Choir - concert of Polish Christmas carols (04/12/2022)
Grace Gospel Choir (GGC) is an ecumenical gospel choir from the TriCity in Poland (Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot), which has been performing continuously since 2004. It is composed of enthusiasts of singing and music who enjoy the sound and message of gospel music. Since 2010, Anna Baranowska-Bober has been the choir's conductor. In the winter of 2021, GGC recorded its first studio album, "Wesoła Nowina" with the most beautiful Polish Christmas carols in ravishing gospel arrangements by Anna Baranowska-Bober. In October of 2022, the Grace Gospel Choir achieved a great success, winning the Golden Diploma in the Gospel & Spiritual category at the competition “Venezia in Musica”!
During the concert in Vianden, the group will sing the most beautiful Polish Christmas carols in gospel arrangements by Anna Baranowska-Bober, the choir's conductor.
Prizes and awards:
2022 - “Venezia in Musica”/ 9th International Choir's Festival & Competition - Golden Diploma in the Gospel & Spiritual category;
2021 - 17th edition of the International Mundus Cantat Festival - Golden Diploma in the Gospel Music category, 3rd place in the general classification and a special award from the President of the City of Sopot;
2018 - XIII International Mundus Cantat Competition - Silver Diploma 2017 - Silver Diploma in the Christmas version of Mundus Cantat and 3rd place in the entire classification;
2016 - XII International Mundus Cantat Festival - Silver Diploma;
2016 - National Festival of Contemporary Choral Music - Music Everywhere! - Silver Diploma.
The choir has collaborated with many outstanding musicians and participated in various music projects. Its mission is to introduce the audience to the emotional gospel music while promoting Christian values and ecumenism. Grace Gospel Choir concerts are, above all, a huge dose of musical emotions and a great joy to share them with the audience. It is prayer and singing "with the whole self". The expressiveness and expression of gospel music will move you and will not allow you to remain indifferent.
